Globalization and international trade have drastically changed the way that food is produced, processed, transported and consumed and present all stakeholders with new challenges to food safety and quality.
In today's age of the globalization and ever-increasing consumer awareness, there are ever escalating initiatives surrounding food quality and safety. Therefore, food safety issues remain at the forefront of public attention much in part due to issues such as salmonella in food, melamine in milk and more.
One important measure in food safety is properly cleaning in process plants. Still, industry often views the cleaning of components and machines as a necessary evil. Manufacturers are frequently tempted to simply tack cleaning on to the end of existing production lines rather than integrating cleaning into a comprehensive view of the entire production process. Such integration, however, is imperative to maintaining both competitiveness and exacting quality standards, especially when profit margins are low.
We start the forum with a get-together and joint dinner.
Opening the forum, we will have industry known speakers sharing know-how and stating trends in the cleaning technology.
After lunch all participants are invited to ask further questions and lively discuss their practical experiences.
