VARIVENT® Valve Housings, Type VH

Thermal treatment of the product with ancillary heating is common practice for most product lines. In many pipe systems electrical ancillary heating or jacketed pipes are used to heat the product. Valves, however, are often not heated because of the costly form design of the housing itself and thus create unwanted cold bridges in the product line.

Now, GEA Tuchenhagen has developed as an effective alternative a jacketed valve housing that ensures an optimal heat transmission. A heat transfer medium is carrying heat into the housing so that the entire valve is integrated into the thermal circuit.

In this way, products such as chocolate, margarine or similar sensible products can be kept liquid. Amply sized muffs provide for a low pressure drop and optimal flow through the jacketed housing.

The jacketed valve housings are available in sizes from DN25 to DN100 and form part of our well-known VARIVENT® System. This new system can also be used for cold transfer.
