In comparison with the old Tuchenhagen level electrode type TLEA the new TNS model offers numerous novel features and fully satisfies our and your high standards with regard to quality and hygiene.
In connection with a standard evaluation unit, the conductive electrode is mainly used for level detection in tanks.

The level module
The electronic level module in the control module allows high or low level signals to be transferred from the level probe directly to the PLC. Configuration switches can be used to set sensitivity in the range between 3 and 530 kOhm so that response to foam or product, for instance, can be implemented.
DIP switches permit eight different sensitivity settings. On and off delays can also be varied using four different settings.
The following values are factory-set:
Switch-on value: | 6 kΩ |
Switch-off value: | 7 kΩ |
On and off delay: | ≤0,3 s |
Electrical connections can be established either via an internal terminal strip (cable gland) or an M12 connector.
